The Shaker Global Anti-Corruption & Integrity Foundation (SGACIF) believes poverty and corruption are deeply connected.

In many parts of the world, poverty does not continue only because of limited resources, difficult geography, or lack of human potential. In many cases, poverty survives because public resources are misused, institutions are weakened, accountability is ignored, and a small number of powerful individuals benefit while millions remain trapped in hardship.

Founder Morad Shaker believes many struggling nations are not poor because their people are weak. They are poor because systems of corruption, abuse of authority, institutional negligence, and lack of accountability prevent their people from receiving the opportunity, protection, and dignity they deserve.

A nation can suffer for decades when corrupt leadership damages public trust, blocks development, weakens institutions, and turns public resources away from the people.
